What should I do if I am late for the booked travel?

+
-

In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible so that you do not lose money for the ferry ticket.

If you are late to register for the booked travel: if you do not complete registration before the end of registration for a particular travel, usually your ticket goes from the main list to the “waiting list”. In this case, you lose the priority right to enter the ship and risk not to leave. If we receive information in advance that you can be late for registering, we can extend the registration time for your vehicle, and even if you arrive later, you will receive your confirmed ticket which guarantees your departure.

If you are late for departure: often ferry lines issue a "non-arrival penalty" ranging from 50 to 100 EUR but the penalty can be avoided by ticket cancellation. If having envisaged the loading and driving times you see that you will not be in time for the booked travel, it is very important to inform us as soon as possible. We will help that you are not charged with the "non-arrival penalty", and give you information about the alternative travels.

How will I receive my order confirmation?

+
-

You will receive your booking confirmation in the most convenient way. Confirmations can be sent by e-mail, SMS, Skype and other means. Upon request, the booking confirmation with all necessary information is sent directly to the driver by SMS.

It depends on the operator and duration of the ferry travel. For longer or night-time travel, meal and a place in a 2 or 4-person cabin are included. When it is a short route, better ask whether the cost of a ferry ticket includes meal and a cabin as it depends on the ferry operator. If the meal and the cabin are not included in the price, you can buy food on board and relax in special areas of common use. If you need information about a particular route, please contact us and we will give the exact information.

Do I have to pay for a second driver?

+
-

Remember that it is very important to indicate during the booking how many drivers travel. If information about the second driver is not provided in advance, it may not be possible for him to get on the ferry when arrives at the port. In order to avoid any problems, please provide this information at the time of booking.

Can ferry ticket prices vary?

+
-

Some ferry operators fix the annual price which is valid from January to December. However, the majority of ferry operators recalculate prices on a monthly basis for BAF*. Also, the ticket price varies depending on the chosen date, time, freight weight, etc.

* BAF (Bunker adjustment factor) is a tax that may increase, decrease or disappear depending on changes in world fuel prices. BAF is usually determined by two circumstances – fuel price fluctuations and exchange rates. As oil is sold for USA dollars in global markets, BAF often also depends on the dollar and euro ratio, and not just on fuel price.

What should I do if I transport a temperature sensitive freight?

+
-

If the freight is transported by a refrigerator semi-trailer and during the travel a certain temperature of the freight must be maintained, on board your semi-trailer can be connected to the electricity source. If you inform about your type of freight at the time of booking, we will coordinate the necessary additional services on the ferry. The additional fee for this service depends on the ferry operator and the route.

What should I do if I transport a dangerous freight?

+
-

All ferry operators must comply with the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code. Only certain types of dangerous freight may be transported by passenger ferries. For all other types, you will need to order ships with a limited number of passengers or freight transportation travels. For transportation of dangerous freight, it is always necessary to have the completed dangerous freight declaration which must be submitted to the port workers at least in 24 hours before the departure time. Without this declaration, your freight will not be loaded on board. We can help you with ferry tickets when you transport the dangerous freight. In order to verify that your freight is acceptable to be transported by your preferred route, we need the following data:

  • UN code
  • Class
  • Packing group

  • Width: 2.5 m
  • Length: 16.5 m (except for an auto train with a length of 18 m)
